Slept late. Susanna and I walked up to Fairhazel Gardens and got a Sunday Times. In the afternoon I cleaned windows and we generally took it easy. About 5:00 the Hallers arrived for Dinner. They left at about 10:30.

Dad doesn't really talk about it here, but this is the actual date of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. When we were there in 1977 it was the 25th Jubilee-- the silver Jubilee. The background picture of this blog includes a silver double-decker. 45 years later, it's the 70th or Platinum Jubilee. The queen still reigns at 95.
