2 February 1977 Wednesday

This morning, we did Laundry. While Alice and Susanna did that, I went to Barons Court and got information (for Reaves and Betty) on Wimbledon tennis tournament[1]. In the p.m. we took underground to Swiss Cottage Station, where we found out about opening an account at the Barclays bank there. Then looked at the shops in that area. Returned for supper-more TV and a few letters. Called the Hallers.

[1] I sent in a request in my name (but for Reaves and Betty) for books of tickets for both Centre Court and No. 1 court.


2 February 2022 Wednesday

Punxsutawney Phil (groundhog) has predicted six more weeks of winter. Dad doesn't mention it, but he did in 1977 as well. I believe it must be a different groundhog, but groundhog physiology is not my strong point.
