8 February 1977 – Tuesday

I stayed home most of the day. Went to the bank to get £40. Mr. Munch had made an addition mistake when I had made the deposit last week, meaning we had £50 less than I thought we had in the bank.

Alice shopped, then after lunch took Susanna to the Broadhurst Play-School, where she stayed for about 2 hours while Alice did the laundry. The telephone engineer came and replaced the telephone, which was working very badly. When Alice and Susanna returned, I took a long walk-through West Hampstead and back around our shopping area. Another quiet evening at home.
